The National Breast Cancer Foundation and Pepto-Bismol Announce 2004 Campaign for the Cure

Cincinnati, OH – Breast Cancer is the leading cancer in women…and 1 in 7 females will develop invasive breast cancer within their lifetime, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. With almost a quarter of a million new cases each year, breast cancer is one of the leading killers of women in America.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation has teamed up with Pepto Bismol to raise awareness and combat this deadly disease.

News Hooks:

Every two minutes a woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer. And 40,000 women are expected to die from this disease.

Breast cancer is the leading cancer among white and African American women. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, African American women are more likely to die from this disease.

Breast cancer incidence in women has increased from one in 20 in 1960 to one in seven today according to the National Cancer Institute.
